According to ZAP, purveyor of juicy electric car funkiness, if you own a ZAP Xebra and drive it in London, it pretty much pays for itself within a year. The figures speak for themselves. It costs $83 a day to take a gasoline car into London as opposed to $1.54 a day for a ZAP. Run that out to a year and the figures get even more startling — $21,580 a year for gasoline, $400 a year for electric. As for the Xebra, that will set you back $11,200 for a funky little three-wheeler (with room for four) that has a top speed of 40 mph and a range of 25 miles per charge. Options include a radio/CD, the color of your choice including an actual black and white zebra stripe, leather seating, a cover for your electrical lovely, and an upgraded battery.
