Delphi, BMW M3, Auto Rip Offs 2007 - January 4th, 2008
Delphi Debuts
According to this press release, Delphi Corporation will have a nice showcasing of mobile electronics and transportation systems at the 9th Auto Expo in New Delhi scheduled for January 11-20. Among the items on display, look for a GPS system with dual view and produced for enhanced vehicle security.
BMW M3
Word on the web has it that the BMW M3 has a spate of interesting features designed to tempt a new generation of drivers. The mix the company is after is that trademark luxury on top of a sports car soul encased in a clean, sleek exterior. Since the M3 is a good deal lighter than anything BMW is making at the moment, the V8 under the hood has an extra advantage in producing a pleasing amount of power. Folks who have had a chance to get behind the wheel are using words like “agile” and “strong.”

Rip Offs
And finally, The Mercury News has a nice post by Dennis Rockstroh on the Top 10 Automotive Ripoffs of 2007. The list includes:
- airbag deployment issues
- Fords bursting into flames
- Fords coughing up spark plugs
- blind eye turning by the NHTSA
- GM truck brake woes
- unwanted Prius acceleration issues
- cavorting Jeeps
- bumb BMW transmissions
- Ford Focuses that don’t
- and GM OnStar abandonment
Good cautionary article. Give it a read.
